Soleil politique

 - Soleil politique
This catalogue examines the role of the Museion Bolzano in the urban environment of Bolzano city in Italy by looking back at the museum's history and mission from the perspective of artists in all disciplines: architects, filmmakers, performers, musicians, composers, etc. These are joined by a number of major historical works that have inspired the exhibition throughout its conception and helped our understanding of museographic history.
Soleil politique is a book conceived by curator Pierre-Bal Blanc, in dialogue with graphic designers Vier5 and Paraguay, the book dwells on the exhibition that he organized at Museion Bolzano in 2014. In Soleil politique, Pierre Bal-Blanc, the former director of CAC Bretigny and now a member of the curatorial team of documenta14, examining the exhibition starting points in the readings of a group of thinkers and artists, its methodology—inspired by the musical compositions of Cornelius Cardew—and some of the consequences and afterthoughts the exhibition provoked.
