Hanno Leichtmann - Outerlands (vinyl LP)
2024
forthcoming
Centered around the Villa Aurora Organ, an intriguing and mostly unknown instrument built in 1928/29 by the Artcraft Organ Company in Santa Monica, California, "Outerlands" presents a deeply personal approach to the instrument's particular properties, very much in line with Discrepant's ethos.
Mike Cooper - Aquapelagos - Vol.2: Índico (vinyl LP)
2024
Presenting the second thematic volume on the "Aquapelagos" series, a collection of split LPs where selected artists offer their own take into water surrounded cultures and communities, Discrepant introduces an unique collaboration in the series in the shape of no other than two improvising giants, Mike Cooper and Pierre Bastien. This volume blows the lid wide open with a sound journey inspired by the equally majestic and mysterious Indian Ocean, a wide space of open ocean bounded by Africa, to the west, Asia to the north and north-west and Australia, to the south west.
Alexandre Centeio - Panorama (vinyl LP)
2024
Part of a (very) loose but somewhat like minded kaleidoscope where one can trace something like a Portuguese hauntology, centred around labels like Russian Library or Prisma Sonora Records, Alexandre Centeio joins Discrepant with the surefire release of "Panorama".
 Malayeen - Malayeen (vinyl LP)
2023
Repress of the Lebanese trio's 2014 album, born from Raed Yassin and Charbel Haber's love for the music of quintessential Egyptian guitarist Omar Khorshid, disassembling and re-configuring the work and style of the iconic guitarist's innovative take on Arabic music.
Shela - TV Songs (vinyl LP)
2023
Lisbon based keyboardist João "Shela" Pereira's new strangely haunting album.
Starving Weirdos - Atheistaregods (vinyl LP)
2023
More than a decade after the release of "Land Lines", the mythical Humboldt County, California based duo of Brian Pyle and Merrick McKinlay reappears seemingly out of nowhere with "Atheistsaregods".
Mark Vernon - Call Back Carousel (vinyl LP)
2023
An audio time-travelogue, based on found reel-to-reel tapes of pre-recorded slideshow commentaries from the 60s and 70s, collected by Mark Vernon over the past twenty years.
Kink Gong - Tanzania 2 (vinyl LP)
2023
8 years almost to the day after releasing his unique re-interpretation album of his field recordings made in the late 90's in Tanzania, Kink Gong is back with another volume of bushmen madness.
Lagoss - Imaginary Island Music Vol.2 - Ascension (vinyl LP)
2023
Sophomore album from Tenerife based trio Lagoss (Gonçalo F. Cardoso, Mladen Kurajica and Daniel García), moving away from their megamix vignette based first volume to experiment with a more song based approach whilst still keeping their trademark jam infused tropicalia and electronic freak outs with an offering to their 1970's sci-fi masters.
Lagoss - Aquapelagos - Vol.1: Atlántico (vinyl LP)
2023
Lagoss (comprised of Tenerife based veteran producers Gonçalo F. Cardoso, Mladen Kurajica and Daniel García) and Banha da Cobra (Lisbon-based musicians Mestre André and Carlos Godinho) introduce the first volume on the "Aquapelagos" series—a collection of split LPs where selected artists offer their own take into water surrounded cultures and communities.
Marc Codsi - Songs from the Aftermath (vinyl LP)
2023
Marc Codsi’s new Arabic infused synth oriented album.
O Morto - Dans la Gorge d\'un Monstre (vinyl LP)
2023
By now a regular and esteemed presence among the Discrepant sprawling household via releases with projects such as Alförjs, Banha da Cobra or Jibóia, Mestre André "resurrects" his O Morto alias (bad pun somewhat intended) after 2016 "The Forest, The People And The Spirits".
Aquapelago - An Oceans Anthology (vinyl LP)
2022
(last copies available!)
An anthology introducing the first of a series of albums based on the concept of "aquapelago", with Sugai Kei, Andrew Pekler, Mike Cooper, The Dead Mauriacs, Babau, Vica Pacheco, Yannick Dauby, Sculpture, Franceso Cavaliere and Tomoko Sauvage.
Ondness - Oeste A.D. (vinyl LP)
2022
Marking an important step in the discography of the Portuguese musician, Oeste A.D. is crossed by a nostalgic impulse, between a nod to the theme of the Expo 98 in Lisbon and a tribute to the best productions of Fennesz and Black Dice in the early 2000s.
Koray Kantarcıoğlu - Loopworks 2 (vinyl LP)
2022
Loopworks 2 expands Istanbul based audio/visual artist Kantarcioğlu's sampling pool to Turkish records as well as snippets from 70's TV and 80's new age and jazz tapes. This disparate material is mangled and glued together with Koray's very personal sampling techniques.
Francisco López - Hidden Island Music (untitled #398) (vinyl LP)
2022
Francisco López offers a brand new field recording composition based on the recordings he did in the island of Tenerife whilst visiting for a performance at the Keroxen Festival, 2020.
Gonçalo F. Cardoso - Impressões de Outra Ilha (Borneo) (vinyl LP)
2022
An impressionistic and dreamlike sound portrait of the island of Borneo.
Pierre Bastien - Sonic Folkways (vinyl LP)
2022
sold out
The French musician, composer and instrument builder returns to Discrepant label and brings an astonishing array of instruments from different cartographies and legacies.
Carlos Casas - Kamana (vinyl LP + CD)
2021
sold out
A multiformat release inspired by and channeling the culture and traditions of the Aeta, an indigenous group from the Zambales region in the Philippines, some of the most ancient nomadic and hunter gathering cultures. A sonic exorcism filled with ancestral frequencies, haunted ghosts, and other animistic spirits from the Pinatubo forests, going from the realms of the real to the imaginary, from transcription to syncretism, from concrete to abstract.
