Dick Higgins - Postface
Dick Higgins, one of the main figures of Fluxus (poet, musician, historian, theoretician, editor) points out the particularity of poet-artists who, since German and English Romanticism, have refused to make distinctions between what is sonorous, visual and written. Fluxus takes up the flag of Dada and brandishes it.
Dick Higgins (1938-1998) was an American composer, poet, printmaker, artist, and a co-founder of Fluxus in the early 1960's. He was a seminal figure in Happenings and the concrete poetry movement.
