This catalogue focuses on an immersive one-year project in Portugal, centered around questions of global ecology and tourism. Kawamata's large scale installation integrates both plastic residues and abandoned boats collected on Portugal's shores during beach cleaning campaigns. This artist's book designed by Belgian artist Olivier Foulon is the result of a years-long research on an abandoned sculpture project by Isa Genzken in Rotterdam. It features two essays on Isa Genzken by Jan van Adrichem, a section gathering archival documents, and a comprehensive press kit referring to the aborted project.

This publication is the result of a collaboration between artist Jorge Méndez Blake, curator Rodrigo Ortiz Monasterio and graphic designer Santiago da Silva.
