Common Tales

Boris Rebetez - Common Tales
Retrospective monograph.
Boris Rebetez's work productively breaks with current ideas about functionality or linearity. Instead, a frame of reference opens up that conceives of constructed or designed reality as an arrangement of symptoms and signs—a resonant space, the totality and limitations of which can only be conceived through the viewer's individual perspective.
This retrospective book contains more than twenty years of Rebetez' artistic approach with a focus on the major projects of the last ten years and represents the most current survey on his work.
Boris Rebetez (born 1970 in Lajoux, Switzerland) works with various media, concentrating on one central theme, namely space. His drawings, collages, sculpture and photographs deal with the perception of place, indoors and outdoors.
Texts by Ines Goldbach, Meredith Stadler, Adam Szymczyk, Reto Thüring, Philip Ursprung.
