The Fabricateurs d'espaces exhibition brought together
eight artists committed to extending current sculptural practice
by taking space as the raw material and the underpinning
of the work of art. The contributions making up this
book throw light on their approaches by looking into the
concept of space in all its ramifications, from the recent history
of sculpture to the latest research in astrophysics.
Published following the eponymous exhibition at Institut d'art contemporain (IAC), Villeurbanne / Rhône-Alpes, in 2008-2009.
