Air

J.J. Zana - Air
In the last element of a triptych debuted by Cycles and Script, J.J. Zana stretches his research on form/emptiness and offers a collage of pieces written between 2016 and 2023.
The body, in order to assimilate the immense (and immensely violent) amount of information it receives, engages in a work of translation of which dreams and art are the privileged figures. More than the expression of impressions, which is still a physical phenomenon, what is at stake is to decode the encrypted messages of reality, then formulate them in a target language that, through its materiality, has the power to heal the subject's psyche. J.J. Zana (born 1985 in Marseille) is an artist whose practice explores writing, sound, installation and performance. He has exhibited his works in various museums or project spaces, and published three books composed of fragments.
