Catalogue of the exhibition at Écuries de Saint-Hugues, Cluny, France (June 25th - September 25th, 2005): the noendneon (no end neon) installation, a questioning of contemporary sculpture practice.
François Morellet (1926–2016), a self-taught artist, was one of the leading figures of postwar
geometric abstraction and a pioneer of
minimal art. His paintings, sculptures, and installations are grounded in rules, systems, and constraints, stripped of overt expressiveness while still allowing room for chance, and infused with a distinctive sense of humor.
