C.A.S.A.Casablanca Art School Archives

 - C.A.S.A.
A historical and thematic book that aims to tell the adventure of the Casablanca Art School, through a polyphony of stories, experiences and actors.
Between 1962 and 1974, Farid Belkahia, Mohammed Chabâa, Mohamed Melehi, Toni Maraini, Bert Flint, are the artists, activists and educators who enter the memory of a Moroccan cultural revolution and its intellectual struggles embodied by many others, poets, filmmakers… Through essays, archives and interviews, this publication documents and analyzes the activities and the legacy of this artists collective engaged in several complementary fields (painting, photography, fresco, applied arts, typography, graphic design, scenography). Hence seeking to take the measure of their importance in general history of postcolonial arts.
Edited by Madeleine de Colnet, Maud Houssais, Fatima-Zahra Lakrissa, Morad Montazami.
