Delphine Coindet -
Large monograph on French sculptor Delphine Coindet.
Since the 1990s, Delphine Coindet (born 1969 in Albertville, France, lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland) has been developing her own unique sculptural language through constructions made from a variety of materials and techniques that reveal a real predilection for assembly. The heterogeneity of her world opens up to an encounter with techniques ranging from cabinetmaking to metallurgy to the arts in all their forms—architecture, design, and the performing arts. In this spirit, one could say that her work attempts to follow in the chaotic wake of the aesthetic (and revolutionary) avant-garde movements of the 20th century... among other ever-fertile sources of inspiration. Her work is regularly featured in numerous solo exhibitions in France and internationally.
