Showing photographs of the works and performances by Awena Cozannet, with texts by Jean-Louis Roux, writer, this book traces the artistic journey of a decade, full of powerful experiences that, from France to Bangladesh, from Myanmar to China, led Awena Cozannet to produce a significant work and a singular approach.
Between sculpture, textile works, drawing, set design and installation, Awena Cozannet (born 1974, lives and works in Lyon) is working based on the human body, mankind and its temporality. She uses the material as a language and the body as a material. Some of her sculptures are worn by herself or by others, time enough for a photograph, or a public performance.
