Alexandra Grimal (born 1980 in Cairo) is a French composer and saxophonist (also a singer) of jazz and improvised music. She performs in many interdisciplinary projects such as theater and contemporary dance.
Joëlle Léandre (born 1951 in Aix-en-Provence) is a French double bass player, improviser and composer. One of the major figures of the European new music, her influence is international. Her activities as a creator and performer, both as a soloist and as part of an ensemble, have taken her to the most prestigious European, American and Asian stages.
