Christiane Geoffroy’s "fragments" work through small touches, through trial and error. Their great temporal flexibility allows them to wander from the origins of the universe and life to generations not yet born. At times, they function as short performative poems.

Christiane Geoffroy (born in 1955 in Chambéry, France) has been creating a unique universe within the world of contemporary art since the 1990s. Through hybrid forms and a variety of media, her works—often tied to ethics and informed by scientific research—explore the relationships that humans have with other forms of life and their environments. Since the early 2000s, her work has focused on anthropogenic climate change.
