Published in the Noor's Heroes children's book series, this volume explores the creative life of Saloua Raouda Choucair, a pioneering Lebanese artist who challenged norms through geometry, abstraction, and sculpture. From Beirut to Paris, Choucair followed her passion for form and meaning, becoming one of the Arab world's earliest modernist artists.
Noor's Heroes is a children's book series that celebrates inspiring figures from the Arab world. Through engaging stories and vibrant illustrations, young readers discover the journeys of exceptional individuals who followed their dreams and made a difference.

Myrna Ayad has authored, edited, and contributed to several books, magazines and dailies on visual art and culture from the Arab world and Iran. A frequent panellist, jurist, and moderator, her role as an independent cultural strategist has allowed her to work on projects within the luxury sector, government entities, private companies, and non-profit organisations in the Arab world. Based in the UAE for over four decades, Ayad is a graduate of the American University in Dubai.

Khalid Mezaina is a Dubai-based Emirati illustrator and textile artist. He graduated in Visual Communications at the American University of Sharjah in 2006 and pursued an MFA in Textiles at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2016. Mezaina has worked as a graphic designer and projects coordinator in various UAE art institutions, including the Sharjah Art Foundation, and Tashkeel in Dubai. He has also participated in art exhibitions, completed residencies, and worked on projects both locally and internationally. Since 2018, he has focused on an independent studio practice, freelancing as a commercial illustrator, and expanding his body of work as a textile artist.
