Noor's Heroes is a
children's book series that celebrates inspiring figures from the Arab world. Through engaging stories and vibrant illustrations, young readers discover the journeys of exceptional individuals who followed their dreams and made a difference.
Myrna Ayad has authored, edited, and contributed to several books, magazines and dailies on visual art and culture from the Arab world and Iran. A frequent panellist, jurist, and moderator, her role as an independent cultural strategist has allowed her to work on projects within the luxury sector, government entities, private companies, and non-profit organisations in the Arab world. Based in the UAE for over four decades, Ayad is a graduate of the American University in Dubai.
Mona Elkateb is an Egyptian visual artist and illustrator based in Cairo. She graduated with a BA in Politics and Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 2016 and an MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics in 2017. Through her practice, Elkateb navigates the intersection of creativity and social justice, and channels her passion for social causes, particularly those related to women's rights. She has worked with Mauj, Kerning Cultures, The Arts Club – Dubai, and Mindfood Publishing, and showcased her digital artworks and paintings at various galleries in Cairo.
