Rómulo Macció

Rómulo Macció (1931-2016) was a key figure in Argentine and Latin American modern art and a founding member of the influential Nueva Figuración movement. He played a central role in redefining painting in the 1960s through a dynamic fusion of abstraction, figuration, and Latin American Pop Art strategies, engaging critically with urban life, mass culture, and political imagery.
