Matthieu Raffard & Mathilde Roussel

Mathilde Roussel and Matthieu Raffard have been working as an artist duo since 2017. Their work explores the ethical and aesthetic issues surrounding the use of technology in a context of extractivism and resource depletion. Through the construction of machines, the creation of polyphonic installations, and the production of videos, they develop devices that make the materiality of technology visible. Together, they seek to bring questions rooted in feminism and ecology into the field of art. From this perspective, their practice focuses particularly on the relational, affective, and psychological dimensions of the technological objects we use every day.
