Renée Vivien

 
Renée Vivien (born Pauline Mary Tarn, 1877-1909), alias "Sapho 1900", is a British poetess of French language. Prolific despite her short life, she is the author of more than five hundred poems of autobiographical nature singing lesbian love, translations of Greek poetesses including Sappho, several volumes of prose and a dozen novels, and correspondence with Colette, Natalie Clifford Barney, Kérimé Turkhan Pacha, Amédée Moullé and Jean Charles-Brun.
