Jan Świdziński

 
Artiste multidisciplinaire, critique d'art et théoricien polonais, Jan Świdziński (1923-2014) a écrit, principalement depuis 1974, sur l'art contextuel, qu'il a théorisé comme nouvelle stratégie artistique. Il est l'auteur de plusieurs ouvrages et articles publiés au Canada et en Europe : Art as Contextual Art ; Art, Society and Self-consciousness ; Freedom and Limitation : The Anatomy of Postmodernism. Il a organisé des festivals de performance dans le monde entier.
