Henry-Claude Cousseau (born in 1946) is an art historian and General Curator of French Heritage. He served as director of the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris from 2000 to 2011.
A French painter and a major figure in modern art, Jean Hélion (1904–1987) distinguished himself through the boldness of a “reverse” approach that set him apart from his contemporaries, as his complex artistic journey took him from abstract art to figurative art. He played a key role in introducing abstract art to the United States.
