Laurent Fiévet - 69
69 different personalities share their unique experiences of Laurent Fiévet's work, inviting us to rethink our relationship with images.
Born in 1969, Laurent Fiévet is a visual artist living in Paris and Finistère. His works most often take the form of immersive video installations using cinematographic and pictorial images which, after being reworked through editing, are confronted with each other and redeployed in dialogue with the exhibition spaces. Fundamentally ambivalent and lending themselves to various registers of interpretation, they contain numerous elements of historical, sociological and political critique which, while shifting our gaze to the everyday, question the dysfunctions of our individual and collective memory.
