Theo Guicheron Lopez

Born in Paris in 1991 and now based in Poland, Theo Guicheron-Lopez is a self-taught artist and writer. His sculptural practice explores our physical and psychological relationships to the ground, with particular attention to the artificial surfaces that shape contemporary life but often go unnoticed. Working primarily with wood, stone, and metal, Guicheron-Lopez creates installations and sculptures that reveal the contradictions inherent in materials generally perceived as inert or utilitarian. For him, the ground is never neutral: it bears the traces of movement, imagination, and projected desire, making it a site of fantasy, memory, and spatial aspiration.
