Nicolas Richard - Commentaires
A "football-oratorio" that replays the 2006 World Cup final match between France and Italy.
Nicolas Richard composes a score of sound poetry from Zinedine Zidane's header. This now famous gesture, which ends the footballer's career, is here multiplied by live accounts and deferred words. The author collects and arranges numerous voices ranging from sports commentators to Hegel, Guy-Ernest Debord or Shakira. The page, which has become a playground, is then made up of a variety of writings that are brought together and put into dialogue through the centuries by Nicolas Richard.
Also designed to be oral, the text is a playful space to discover aloud.
Nicolas Richard (born in 1978) is a French author and performer. In 2004, he co-founded the Lumière d'août theater company, a collective of authors based in Rennes. In a way close to sound poetry, his writing digs to the point of absurdity a word that jams. This work on elocution continues on stage as a performer in classical or experimental plays. He also regularly writes for the theater.
