An art historian and Germanist (translator of
Horst Bredekamp and
Hans Belting, among others), Christian Joschke is a professor of art history at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, having previously taught at the University of Lyon 2 and the University of Paris Nanterre. He is interested in the relationship between art and politics and the history of photography.
