Sapiens ou la naissance de l'art (DVD)

Pascal Goblot - Sapiens ou la naissance de l\'art (DVD)
An investigation into the origins of artistic creation, more than 40,000 years ago (a film by Pascal Goblot, with Daniel Buren and a group of specialists in prehistoric art, philosophers, anthropologists and archaeologists, narrated by Virginie Ledoyen).
When—and why—did Art appear in human societies? For a long time, prehistoric arts were considered clumsy sketches created by a barely embryonic humanity. For art historians, art was born in Lascaux, 18,000 years ago. And yet, the latest research and discoveries have completely changed our perception. More than 40,000 years of Art History reveal themselves in a profusion of artworks of unprecedented richness and beauty, taking us back to the very origin of our species, to what makes us human.
With Maxime Aubert, Thierry Aubry, Daniel Buren, Carole Fritz, Philippe Grosos, Jean-Loïc Le Quellec, Adhi Agus Oktaviana, Marylène Patou-Mathis, Éric Robert, Catherine Schwab, Sibylle Wolf.
