Joe Jones

 
Joe Jones (1934-1993) is a New York musician and member of Fluxus which he joined in 1963 after meeting Dick Higgins and Alison Knowles. Jones is best-known for being the inventor of the music machines, a set of mechanical instruments used during experimental performances. In 1972 he produced John Lennon and Yoko Ono's album Fly, and founded Fluxus Airlines with George Maciunas. In the mid-eighties, Joe Jones also produced a series of computer-based short films called Fluxus Homes Movies.
