Preenactment is a large-format publication with abundant visual material, which can be read both as a preenactment to the Estonian pavilion and as an independent work of art. The book introduces the Estonian pavilion, the exhibition The House of Leaking Sky, while also offering an in-depth insight into the artist's oeuvre with a focus on works from recent years.
Merike Estna (born 1980) is an internationally recognised Estonian artist whose practice centres on painting, often extending it into space, objects and performance. She approaches painting as a live, durational act, foregrounding time, labour and the ongoing process of making.
