Carlo Ginzburg
A historian and art historian regarded as one of the most important of his generation and a leading figure in microhistory, Carlo Ginzburg (1939-2026) taught in Bologna, Los Angeles (UCLA), and Pisa (Scuola Normale Superiore). He was awarded the Aby Warburg Prize, the Humboldt Prize, and the Balzan Prize.
