Photographie et IA

Claus Gunti - Photographie et IA
By contextualising contemporary uses of photography generated or analysed with the help of artificial intelligence, this book offers a critical reflection on the aesthetic, political and theoretical stakes of these technologies.
How does artificial intelligence affect the way we represent reality? Is it still photography? How have artists engaged with these new tools? Above all, what do these practices reveal about the changes in how we use and perceive images, within a media infrastructure undergoing profound transformation?
By contextualising contemporary uses of photography generated or analysed with the help of artificial intelligence, this book offers a critical reflection on the aesthetic, political and theoretical stakes of these technologies. Through an examination of the work of a dozen artists, it interrogates the reconfiguration of the photographic image, while questioning the capacity of artistic forms to account for the contemporary world
