War, Commerce, and Philanthropy

Juan Pérez Agirregoikoa: War, Commerce and Philanthropy is the official catalogue of the exhibition held at the Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M), Móstoles, Spain, from September 27, 2025, to January 11, 2026. Focusing on painting as a space for political resistance, irony, and philosophical reflection, the book explores some of the most significant themes in Agirregoikoa's practice. Featuring essays by curator Chus Martínez, a conversation between Martínez and the artist, and new texts by Ingo Niermann and Svetlana Slapšak, the publication offers multiple readings of an artist who has carved out a singular place in contemporary art through his sharp wit, critical vision, and inventive use of image and language.
