Charl van Ark

Charl van Ark (born in 1951 in Den Helder, lives and works in Enschede) is a Dutch artist known for his paintings, which often use personal, seemingly insignificant moments as starting points, and are influenced by the skin of the painting, the perception of space and light. His work also includes installations and uses self-made or found photographs as a basis, often reworked to achieve a sense of permanence.
