Jackie Karuti

Jackie Karuti is an artist based in Nairobi, Kenya. Her work moves between the natural and the social sciences and touches on themes of death, sexuality, identity, and urban culture. In her experimental multimedia practice, which ranges from drawings to video and performance art, Karuti explores the depths of possibility enabled by radical imagination and speculative worlds, and considers knowledge production and accessibility—the ways we perceive the world and believe we know it.
