Anoush Abrar

The work of photographer Anoush Abrar (born 1976 in Teheran, lives and works in Lausanne and London) could be described as provocative, fun, creative or unique. Always inspired by his sense of rarity and his appetite for renewal. Though on the surface his work orients itself in the tradition of fashion photography, by deliberately over- or understating in his images he creates his own and very glamorous signature. His highly seductive imagery and nose for provocative stories bring a constant new wind to his photography. He is professor of photography at ECAL – University of Art and Design Lausanne.
