- Object
These conditions govern the sales by Les presses du réel, 35 rue Colson 21000 Dijon of printed books, digital books, periodicals, video and audio supports.
- Prices
The prices of our products are indicated in euros all taxes included (VAT and other taxes applicable on the day of the order), unless otherwise indicated and excluding processing and shipping costs.
The customer is the importer of the product(s) concerned. Customs duties or other local taxes or import duties or state taxes may be payable. These rights and sums are not the responsibility of Les presses du réel, but the responsibility of the customer, both in terms of declarations and payments to the competent authorities in his country. The customer is advised to check with his local authorities for information on these aspects. All orders, regardless of their origin, are payable in euros.
Les presses du réel reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, but the product will be invoiced on the basis of the rate in effect at the time of validation of the order and subject to availability.
In the event that Les presses du réel is unable to honour an order due to a price change from one of its suppliers, the order will be refunded to the customer.
The products remain the property of Les presses du réel until full payment of the order amount. As soon as the customer physically takes possession of the ordered products, the risk of loss or damage to the products will be transferred to him.
Les presses du réel reserves the right not to record a payment, and not to confirm an order for any reason whatsoever, and more particularly in the event of a supply problem, or in the event of a difficulty concerning the order received.
- Methods of payment
Payment can be made online, in a secure way, either with the CM-CIC P@iement module (for payments from credit card details), or with Paypal (for payments from a Paypal account).
Payment can also be made by bank transfer, or by cheque, in euros, which can be cashed in France without bank commission. The order will then be processed upon receipt of payment. In the latter two cases, it is necessary that the order reference clearly appear, either in the description of the transfer or on the back of the cheque.
- Shipping & Returns
Orders are shipped within two to three business days of receipt of payment.
The delivery times, mentioned for information purposes, as well as the possibility of a tracking system, depend on the available shipping service (determined by the weight of the items ordered and the destination) or on the shipping service selected by the customer, when several services are available. The products are delivered to the address indicated by the customer during the ordering process.
In the event of non-delivery of the products due to an incomplete or inaccurate address, or if the customer does not claim about a package despite a message or a notice from the carrier, Les presses du réel may proceed with a second shipment upon receipt of the return of the package, whose cost may be invoiced to the customer.
In the event of a delay in shipment, an e-mail will be sent to any customer informing him of any possible consequences on the delivery time indicated to him.
Les presses du réel cannot be held responsible for late delivery due exclusively to the unavailability of the customer after several appointments.
E-books can be downloaded without delay, as soon as the order is validated and the payment is recorded.
- Retraction
The customer has a withdrawal period of 14 days from receipt of the products to exercise his right of withdrawal without having to justify any reasons or pay any penalty. Returns must be made in their original and complete condition (including packaging), protected by suitable packaging, accompanied by the reference of the order and an e-mail address to which the customer can be reached at the following address: Les presses du réel, 35 rue Colson 21000 Dijon - France. In this context, the customer is liable. Any damage suffered by the product on this occasion may be of such a nature as to defeat the right of withdrawal.
The return costs are the responsibility of the customer.
In case of exercise of the right of retraction, Les presses du réel will refund the sums paid, within 14 days of receipt of the products and via the same means of payment as the one used when placing the order. In the event that it is impossible to use the payment method used when ordering (in particular because of the limits of the reimbursement periods specific to each payment system), Les presses du réel will make a transfer (any transfer costs to be borne by the customer) to the account whose details the customer has provided.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- the supply of audio or video recordings or computer software where they have been unsealed by the consumer after delivery
- the supply of a newspaper, periodical or magazine, except for subscription contracts for these publications
- the provision of digital content not provided on a material medium, the execution of which has begun after prior express consent of the consumer and express waiver of his right of withdrawal.
- Availability
The products are offered as long as they are visible on the website www.lespressesdureel.com and within the limits of available stocks. For products not in stock, offers are valid subject to availability from our suppliers.
In the event of unavailability of the product after placing the order, the customer will be informed by e-mail. The order will be cancelled and no bank debit will be made, or the payment will be refunded, if the bank debit has been made.
- Guarantee
All complaints, exchange or refund requests must be made by e-mail within 14 days from receipt of the products .
- Responsibility
The products offered comply with current French legislation. Les presses du réel cannot be held liable in the event of non-compliance with the legislation of the country to which the product is delivered. It is the customer's responsibility to check with local authorities the possibilities of importing or using the products or services he intends to order.
- Law applicable in the event of disputes
These terms of sales are subject to French law. In the event of a dispute, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
