A critical approach to visual communication and contemporary globalist aesthetics.
Giorgia Aiello has been an Associate Professor in the Sociology of Culture and Communication at the University of Bologna since 2020. She is also Professor of Culture and Communication in the School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds (UK), where she has worked since 2010. Her research focuses on the problems and potentials of visual communication in the construction and promotion of social, political and cultural identities in digital media, cities and everyday life.
