Uno todo tres (CD)

Clara de Asís - Uno todo tres (CD)
A minimalist piece of forty-four minutes in which the electroacoustic composer and experimental guitarist goes beyond the conventional modes of the instrumental approach, deploys a radically personal atypical universe and subtly explores the idea of space by generating different degrees of tension and emotion.
“A sound that raises awareness of the profound silence and in extinguishing leads into the depths of this silence. / Variations within a spread pattern. A pattern without referential centrality. A micro-cosmos. A pattern in perpetual motion, which spreads. / All concentrated in a starting point. One point that folds and forms a line with multiple ramifications, but perceptible as a single unit. / Space as a precondition for existence. As entity that manifests in sound and in its perception. Space as sound property, property inherent to the sound. Something that is both outside and inside.”
—Clara de Asís
Clara de Asís (born 1988 in Spain, lives and works in Marseille, france, since 2012) is a composer and performer of contemporary experimental music. She develops an approach to sound that highlights simplicity, non-intervention and active listening as means of music making. Her works display an extreme precision and intuitive openness that involves a dedicated attention to sound on its details and its most pure forms.
As well as guitar as her main instrument, she uses different combinations of objects, materials and sound sources, incorporating electroacoustics and minimal approaches.
De Asís's compositions utilizes a minimal, spatial framework in which performers can create individual sounds with personal instrumentation to attain a paradoxical but coherent result, bringing out unexpected possibilities and revelations coming from the sound itself.
Her music has been showcased in many international scenes including New York, Berlin, Paris, Prague, Calcutta, Stockholm, Madrid, Huddersfield and Helsinki.
Some of her collaborations include Ryoko Akama, Bruno Duplant, Noël Akchoté, d’Incise, Rebecca Lane, Lauri Hyvärinen, Farida Amadou, Patrick Farmer, Greg Stuart, Erik Carlson, Mara Winter.
