The first comprehensive and thorough scientific study of typographic typefaces created in Germany, Italy and France between 1459 and 1482, which are neither fully gothic nor roman: a revival of some fifteen typefaces initiated during workshops in international art and design schools and then finalised at the ANRT; the constitution of a corpus bringing together and organising the typefaces deemed to be the most representative; and a comparative analysis of the typefaces, from their possible palaeographic origins to the contexts of their use (places, printers, editions).
