The first volume of the composer's complete electroacoustic works, in 16 CDs, each designed as a listening program. The box set, covering nearly fifty years of creation (1976-2020), with 49 tracks and over 17 hours of music, inaugurates the most ambitious recording project ever devoted to an acousmatic corpus. The experience is extended through a triple booklet (French/English/German), including detailed notes for each track, reflections on the lyrics set to music, and a preface by
Frédéric Acquaviva.
Denis Dufour (born in 1953) is an instrumental and electroacoustic composer, as well as a teacher, researcher, lecturer, concert and festival organizer, and founder of instrumental ensembles and collectives. Through a morphological and expressive approach to sound, Denis Dufour has developed a body of work in constant renewal, driven by projects that are each singular in nature. The resulting catalogue unfolds as a vast fresco, in which no motif is repeated, embracing a wide range of immersive sonic landscapes. An insatiable creator, his compositions—instrumental, vocal, mixed, and fixed-media—now form a catalogue of nearly 200 titles.
