This book surveys the work made in the last few years by Portuguese artist Ana Manso.

This retrospective monograph, with a dozen previously unpublished texts and a long interview with the artist, reveals the challenges of Portuguese artist Diogo Pimentão's resolutely expanded practice of drawing, informed as much by dance as sculpture or performance.

Borrowing its title from an unfinished documentary film on post-independence Guinea-Bissau, this reader stems from a conference which brought together artists, writers and researchers to address issues related to the people's struggle for independence from Portuguese colonialism and subsequent nation building.
