Cinema – Monographs

The monograph series explores the diversity of contemporary cinema through directors whose inventiveness has contributed to renewing our ways of seeing. In order to foster specifically cinematographic viewpoints as well as introduce other approaches, authors who do not always concentrate on cinema (writers, musicologists, philosophers) are invited to participate. The directors themselves design the layout, giving them the freedom to choose which images, from their films or elsewhere, are reproduced. This "image-track", a veritable interview in images, reveals the visual interests of each director, their imaginative universe, their visual logic.
