The complex and evocative works of Yvette Brackman (born 1967 in New York City, lives and works in Copenhagen)
take many forms such as installations, sculptures, performances, videos, and text. She explores themes such as the interplay between origin and memory; the body and its representation; trauma and the dislocation of local communities; cultural survival and adaptability; design objects and their repurposed functions, as well as political systems and their after effects.
