L'Art de la décolonisationParis-Dakar (1950-1970)

Maureen Murphy - L\'Art de la décolonisation
A transnational and transhistorical investigation carried out in the heart of museum and artistic practices between France and Senegal in the 1950s to 1970s, inviting us to decentralize our views in order to consider the globalized history of art of these years in a new light.
Maureen Murphy is an art historian, Professor of contemporary art history at Paris Nanterre University, member of the Institut Universitaire de France. Her research focuses on the globalization of the art scene from the perspective of colonial and postcolonial history and the relations between Africa and Europe, as well as the history of primitivism, exhibition and biennials policies.
