Vladimir Nikolić - Walking with Water
An extension of Vladimir Nikolić's project for the Serbian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2022, this book explores publishing as an incubator for different forms of editorial, artistic and curatorial practices.
Co-published by Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade, this publication is not an exhibition catalogue but a collection, a volume, an artist book, a curator book, an archive, a document, a collective editorial experiment, a space of encounter for ideas and thoughts by all involved. Centered around Vladimir Nikolić's practice, the book is an acknowledgment of the complex environment that he and his practice inhabit, and of taking a position on the margins as an active choice.
Vladimir Nikolić was born in 1974 in Belgrade (Serbia), where he lives and works. He graduated from Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1999 and received a MA from the same faculty in 2005. He attended School for History and Theory of Image at Centre for Contemporary Art Belgrade in 2001. His work was featured in several exhibitions at key galleries and museums, including the Whitechapel Art Gallery and the project 88.
Edited by Biljana Ćirić and Vladimir Nikolić.
Documents by Dejan Sretenović, Filipa Ramos, Alenka Gregorič, Marco Scotini, Biljana Ćirić, Vladimir Nikolić.
