Le Christ (book + CD)

Renée Vivien, Nurse With Wound - Le Christ (book + CD)
The story of Jesus, or that of a fin-de-siècle anarchist, by the sapphic poet Renée Vivien, accompanied by a new piece by Nurse With Wound on CD.
Renée Vivien (born Pauline Mary Tarn, 1877-1909), alias "Sapho 1900", is a British poetess of French language. Prolific despite her short life, she is the author of more than five hundred poems of autobiographical nature singing lesbian love, translations of Greek poetesses including Sappho, several volumes of prose and a dozen novels, and correspondence with Colette, Natalie Clifford Barney, Kérimé Turkhan Pacha, Amédée Moullé and Jean Charles-Brun.
A British music project formed in 1978 by Steven Stapleton, John Fothergill and Heman Pathak, Nurse With Wound (now Stapleton's variable geometry project) is an essential figure of English experimental and industrial music since the early 80's. With more than 150 releases, alone or with other musicians, Stapleton has swept widely different musical styles, from industrial music to mambo, through electronics, improvisation, electroacoustics, with a lot of humor.
