Collective publication bringing together artists, designers, and specialists to reflect on digital creativity within the city. Extending the investigations from the 11th meeting of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, it questions digital and data practices in urban territory.
This collective book Data cities aims to showcase the synergy of Cities from Media arts & Design clusters. Transcribing the thriving of two group shows entitled “Data City” and “Are you talking to me?”, Data cities extends from the double urban and environmental scale, brought to the body's dimension. This book questions here, uses and practices especially linked to data and digital technologies within our ways of living and being on a given territory, initiating therefore, the “Creative city” era after the “Smart city” one. Artists and designers proposals are put into perspective here with protagonists' thoughts of the university, political, industrial or still literary fields.
