Friedrich Petzel Gallery is a contemporary art gallery, located in both New York and Berlin. Since 1994, the gallery has been committed to developing its program upon the scope, diversity, and ambitions of the internationally-renowned artists that it represents. Petzel Gallery's monographic publications are produced in conjuction with its exhibition program. This publication brings together the 50 unique life-cast portraits of the artist's work, Imagines; inspired by ancient Roman life-casts of the same name. Each life-cast portrait is presented as a postcard; the reverse of which, written in Edmier's own hand, provides interesting details about the individual casts.
