Maureen Murphy is an art historian, Professor of contemporary art history at Paris Nanterre University, member of the Institut Universitaire de France. Her research focuses on the globalization of the art scene from the perspective of colonial and postcolonial history and the relations between Africa and Europe, as well as the history of primitivism, exhibition and biennials policies.
