Piotr Piotrowski

 
Piotr Piotrowski (1952-2015) was a professor of art history at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He is the initiator of horizontal art history and critical museography. He also directed the National Museum in Warsaw in 2009-2010. His publications include Meanings of Modernism: Towards a History of Polish Art after 1945 (1999), Art and Democracy in Post-Communist Europe (2012) and, with Jérôme Bazin and Pascal Dubourg Glatigny, Art beyond Borders. Artistic Exchange in Communist Europe [1945-1989] (2016).
